What customers say?

“ While visiting Lyon for work for a few days recently I was told I had to try Quenelles Lyonnaise. I searched google maps and found this lovely restaurant. It was not very busy and the lovely woman working there was very friendly and took time to chat with me (I think her name was Nicole, but I can't remember for sure - I should have written this review sooner!). She told me about Quenelles, which I had never heard of before visiting, and she recommended some restaurants for dinner. The, soup, quenelles, local wine, chocolate desert and coffee were all delicious and reasonably priced. Recommended! ”

“ I was lucky to find this place to try quenelle for the first time. Antoine was very friendly and willing to explain all the types of quenelles they had. I ordered Les Quenelles Tradition; it took 30 minutes to prepare but it was worth the wait. I’d visit this place again if I had a chance to go back to Lyon. Thank you for making me fall in love with this dish! ”

“ Great gaspacho, wide selection of quenelle. We tried the classic gratin and tomato quenelle with tomato sauce - both really good. Added plus is the cool air conditioning friendly team ”

“ Good place for a quick lunch to try their soup + quennelle meal. Tasty, traditional, and served in more modern way. ”

“ It is our very first time in Lyon. We were just looking for somewhere to have soup for lunch. We stumbled upon Quenelles Giraudet not knowing that we were walking into a little slice of heaven. We are English speakers (with very little French). Not a problem, the whole menu was explained to us in detail. The detail sounded great and the food itself was even better than it sounded when it arrived a few minutes later. The quenelles were so light, airy, delicate and tasty. The soup was so obviously made fresh and beautifully seasoned. One of us had friand for dessert with simply gorgeous raspberry couli. The other had a chocolate fondant to die for. We will be bringing our friends to this place for lunch when they arrive in Lyon tomorrow. ”

“ After having a number of really heavy meals, we were looking for something a little lighter and simple. Quenelles Giraudet was even better than we'd anticipated after seeing the reviews. We had a Thai-style soup that was perfectly balanced, and came wiht some delicious mini-quenelles. They speak English as well, so no fear of having to navigate if you're not fluent in French. ”

“ We liked the place a lot. The inside of place is really cozy and the quenelles and soups were delicious. Definitely the best place to taste the famous quenelles in Lyon. Suggestion: get the chestnut soup ”
